Experimental Sandboxes for Smart Grid Transitions has been the focus for a major ISGAN Inter-Annex knowledge exchange initiative in partnership with the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER), involving more than 20 countries, with the purpose of identifying key lessons learned and examples of good practice in regard to the design and implementation of such innovative policy instruments. This webinar will disseminate and discuss the outcomes of this project.

Along with rapid EV uptake will come significant increase in electricity demand and electric power impact on the grid as public, private, and fast-charging infrastructure is developed. The ability to control and plan for the coming EV revolution will be crucial to ensuring the security of supply of global electric grids while weaning the transportation sector off of fossil fuels.
The International Smart Grids and Cities Congress and Fair (on April 25-26, 2019), which assembled the stakeholders of the energy industry, to which nearly 350 global corporations will attend as booth exhibitors, was attended by over 10 thousand industry representatives, experts and academicians from more than 50 countries.
The 17th ISGAN Executive Committee Meeting (ExCo17) and associated side events have been held in Sweden in the week from 1st – 5th April 2019. A big thank you goes to the Swedish Energy Agency, the host of ExCo17.

During the Stockholm Smart Grid week on 1st of April, members of IEA ISGAN and IEA DHC Annex TS3 „hybrid energy networks“ joined an interactive cooperation event on Smart Grids & District Heating and Cooling: Key Integration Aspects.
