This topic encompasses the dynamic behaviour of power systems and changes due to decarbonisation pathways, increasing penetration of converter-interfaced generation technologies, loads, and transmission devices. 

The growing complexity and consequent challenges in system dynamics and stability have led to the need of understanding new phenomena and their interactions with existing phenomena and system components, as well as the design and implementation of practical innovative solutions. It requires the development of new components and their modelling, an extension of existing benchmark systems, and a communication layer integration with respect to having a testing environment with high fidelity, which allows extension of cyber-physical system testing, and testing of new control and detection techniques such as AI/ML-based methods.
